This site was created in an effort to preserve the writings of Helen and Arthur E. Spencer. They were both quite prolific. Helen wrote poetry while Arthur focused on sharing family stories.
In addition to his writings, Arthur (Ed) collected letters from distant relatives and included them in two spiral-bound collections: Penciled Points and In the Words Of. Initially, the spiral-bound collections were handwritten artifacts. With the help of several family members, the letters and stories were transcribed and put into type. It is from these resources that this website has been created. All works contained on the site are credited to Arthur E. Spencer and his beautiful bride, Helen.
The site is maintained and published by Krista Heiser, their great-granddaughter.
